New Band

I know this isnt about vidoe games, but if your looking for some great music, you should try out this new artist. The name is kind of weird, "Girl Talk" but the music is awesome. It's a dj who combines tons of songs together to make one. It's really good pump up your team kind of music and i listen to it before any sporting event.

Madden 09

Along with NCAA, the Madden franchise also came out with this years game. This years madden is really cool and has sick graphics (HD even better). Madden has a new feature where you take a test to determine your skill level and difficulty settings. This is cool because it updates after every game and the CPU gives you a challenge when you play franchise. This game is also fun to play on Xbox Live. Overall the new Madden doesn't have too many new features but has a much improved game play and difficulty settings. If you are a madden fan then you should pick this up.

How to get the roster update for Madden 09

To get the roster update you need to have a live acount and connection to the internet. You go to Xbox Live and then start a game with somebody (using quickplay or however else you start one). Then it will ask you to download the roster now and you accept and it will download it and save it to your memory device. The roster includes Brett Favre on the Jets, Lamont Jordan on the Pats, and other roster changes and retired players. However there are some players that still are not on the right team. Mostly free agents such as Chad Penington is on free agents instead of the Dolphins.

NCAA Football 09

NCAA Football has done it again, making an exceptional game this year. New features like the Quarterback quiz and Ice the kicker make the game more like real football, while things like quick call recruiting make dynasty mode more fun. One of the best features is Online Dynasty mode, in this you can play dynasty mode against your friends, recruiting and playing against them. I really like this game, but something they can improve upon next year is control over the defensive line. It's still to hard to get around Offensive Lineman. Overall i give this game a 9/10.

Guitar Hero : Aerosmith

Aerosmith

For all of the Aerosmith fans out there (there are probably a lot) this game is definitely for you. This game is cool cause it shows you how the band made it big and where they came from. It shows you video clips of interviews of the band relating to the game which is also cool. The sets of songs go like this : 2 songs that Aerosmith played or like that are not by them, and then 2 songs that are actually by Aerosmith..Then you move on to the next "level". If you are a guitar hero fan like me than you may or may not like this game..if you just like to play a bunch of different genres and bands then this game probably is not for you, but I'd say that if you're just a straight up guitar hero fan you should definitely rent it or whatever, just check it out.

SKATE for the 360

SKATE is one of the newest skateboarding games out there that is competing with Tony Hawk. I gotta say, I have not played the newest Tony Hawk game, but based on the other tonys I've played, I can pretty much tell that skate is 100% more realistic than Tony Hawk. TH is a fun game to play in all, but if you are looking for a more realistic game, then skate is the way to go. Skate's story mode involves you creating a skater who just got hit by a bus...but with surgery is back to his skating. You go around doing challenges and ranking up some rep on the streets. Later you turn pro and skate in more events and so on. The overall game play in this game is very realistic and fun to play.

Aerosmith

I heard that there is a new guitar hero coming out dedicated to the rock band Aerosmith. For me, I look at this as good news because it shows that guitar hero can make different kinds of games like maybe in the feature a game for all different genres like classic rock, metal, pop or something else. I just think that they are heading in the right direction with this Aerosmith game.

NBA Live 08 Block Party for PSP

I don't have many games for my PSP. So I decided I'd pick up a bball game. There was 08 and live to choose from..to bad 2k didn't go for the psp. Remembering how bad live was for the Wii I decided to get block party. This game has a ton of stuff to do in it. In addition to Franchise, there are a ton of fun mini games to play. Also there is a really fun mode called conquest. It is when you pick a team to start out with and challenge all other cities to pick up players from their teams, and defend your own turf. This game has pretty good graphics and ok game play, but I have a feeling live is a lot worse. Overall this game has high replay value and is a good PSP game if you like sport games.

NBA Live 08 for Wii

I was really looking forward to the first basketball game on the Wii. When I rented this game, I didn't expect good graphics, but I also didn't expect N64 graphics either. And that's what it was. I thought I was playing N64 or the first ps1. Shooting in this game requires almost no skill, and you'll make it almost every time. There are only few crossovers and driving to the hoop isn't good. Most of all, the defense in this game is almost impossible. Steal and block are the same controls and both don't work well. Overall, I expected a fun game with cool controls, but was sadly disappointed. If I were you, I'd rent this game to see if it's for you.

Assasians Creed

I just rented Assassins Creed the other day. At first, I thought this game was really cool. It has a weird plot/story line and cool fighting and all that good stuff. Your weapons are a sword, assassin knife, and throwing knives. Overall the fighting was cool. Even though there were good things about this game that I liked a lot, when you play it for a couple days it gets very very repetitive and starts to get boring (at least for me.) So IMO I think that this is a great game to rent, but you shouldn't buy it.

Call Of Duty 4

For any Call Of Duty fans you gotta get this game. Through all the cod I've played, this one has to be the best. A big part of why it is so good is because it isn't about a world war anymore, it's modern warfare. Hence the name. Another big part of why this game is so good is because of the online play. The online play has many different game modes to choose from and a cool ranking system in which you unlock a whole bunch of different things. It also has "challenges" where for example if you get 25 kills with the AK47, you unlock something. Although the online play is great the story mode is very good too, although relatively short. Overall I give this game a 5/5.
