Rock Band Drums SHHHHH

For all of you that have rock band, you may notice that the drums are very loud when you hit them. To fix this, there are many people that have came up with different solutions. I just bought these things that are very thin pad like materials for each drum that quiets it down so that whoever you're living with doesn't get pissed off. And so that you can hear the rest of your band play. You can find these products in many places. Ebay, google search ext.. this is where I purchased mine. Check it out.

How to get rock band on your PS2

Okay for all of you people out there that haven't upgraded to a ps3 yet, here is how to get rock band on your system. Because the actual game disk is out for the ps2 but the controllers aren't, you can't play..right? Wrong. What you have to do is this :

Buy the actual game disk for the ps2.

Then buy the Rock Band bundle pack for the ps3

Sell the ps3 version of the disk that comes in the pack for full price.

Buy a Powered USB Port Simulator - you buy this so that you can plug the controllers or instruments made for the ps3 into it and then plug this into the ps2. This will make the ps3 controllers capable for the ps2. This basically like an extension of plugs that divides up the energy into all of the controllers.

And there you have it : Rock Band on your ps2.

Rock Band

Rock Band is one of the most fun games to play with your friends. If you buy the bundle you get a drum set, a microphone, and a guitar. It is similar to guitar hero except for the fact that you can play drums and sing. It has a lot of great songs including When You Were Young by The Killers, Here it Goes by Ok Go, and Reptillia by the Strokes. The game mode band world tour is great if you have 1 or 2 friends to play with. You travel the country performing at different gigs. If you pass a song you earn money and fans. If you fail a song you lose fans. Rock Band is avaliable for the Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 and 2. I strongly reccomend buying Rock Band.

Just to Stress the Point

I know I've posted about NBA 2k8 before, but i just wanted to stress the point that you would be STUPID to buy NBA Live, or some other basketball game. Whenever I can't find a game I feel like playing, I usually tend to end up playing 2k8, which is weird, because i usually don't play sports games for a long time!

BORED with my wii

I really like the Wii and all, but there just aren't many exceptional games to buy for it. Although there is one game I've really been stoked (Super Smash Bros), the wii has been a disappointment (at least for me) this year. Maybe if i had a brother or two to play with me it would be really fun.

The point is that for me, the wii is only REALLY fun when you play with a friend.

With that said, I'm still PUMPED for super smash.

Call of Duty 4

So there's a new Call of Duty out. I'm sorry to say that I myself have not played this game yet. I plan to buy it though.. I love the cod games and all of my friends say it is a lot better than the other ones, which I can't believe. Unlike the other COD the new one is modern warfare (killing terrorists). If you like all the other COD games I really don't see a reason why you wouldn't buy this game. All the feedback I've gotten about it is positive, so check this game out and tell me what you think.

Rainbow 6 Vegas

If you like shooter/tactical games, this would be great. It has a good and lengthy campain mode which is fun, but the most fun thing to do in this game is the online play. xbox live or ps3 online is sick for this game and you probably will get hooked on it. It has a cool ranking system and its just a mad cool game all around.

College Hoops 2k8

College hoops is a really fun game. The new All American Challenge lets you compete against former college stars like Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr., and Glen "Big Baby" Davis. In the Legacy there is the ABL where you can see how well your recruits have been playing. With off ball control and maximum passing, you can make the best of any offensive situation. College Hoops is a great game and we give it 5 stars.

NBA 2K8

NBA 2K8

NBA 2k8 is 2k's newest basketball video game. 2k8 is a follow up of the 2k7 game, and has made many improvements in game play. Last year this game was basically like a shoot out of offense with very little defense. This year they have stepped up the defense with a new feature called lock down defense. This makes defense much easier and more capable. Other improvements include great graphics, custom shots for each player, better dribble moves, and more offensive and defensive plays. Even though there are many good things about this game, there are many announces in the game play. For example, when you are playing and a ball goes out of bounce, the ref takes FOREVER to give you the ball, and sometimes never gives it to you and you have to restart (doesn't happen much). But just little announces like that add up in this game. Even though there may be announces, this game is very good to say the least. NBA Live does not match up one bit with this game in my opinion. (And mostly everyone else's, seeing as it's the number 1 video game for basketball.)

Guitar Hero 2

Guitar Hero 2 is a very unique and entertaining game. In GH, you use a guitar controller that is pretty much constructed like a real guitar. This game is pretty much like Dance Dance Revolution but instead of dancing you are playing the guitar. GH is very addicting if you like a challenge or are musical. The thing I like about GH is that it has a variety of songs and different levels you can choose from. Although it can be very frustrating at times, it feels really good when you finally nail the solo you've been trying to do for a week. Overall there are no major flaws with the game, seeing as it isn't really a game with a lot of gameplay. If you seem to be into these kinds of games, Guitar Hero is definitely the game you need to get.

All Pro F-Ball 2k8 Review

All Pro, the newest 2k sports football video game, was a very good, well made overall game. It had some flaws. In the game you create a team of legends. You're only allowed to have 12 or so legends. The rest of the players are genreic. Although legends are more fun, the generics aren't that bad. the problem is the way they rate them. For example, you can choose for a generic d-lineman pass rush, or run coverage. It would be better if the choice were power or finesse. For corners it's coverage or run support. Corners have to be the best at coverage so its obvious to pick coverage. It should be hard hitter, or coverage, or zone or man coverage. However this game shows incredible gameplay, awesome graphics, and is a great all around game. When the QB drops back, it looks like an actual dropback. The d-lineman look like their actually pulling moves on the o-line. Although this isn't NFL and could have been better, it is a nice change of style for a football game and gets 4.5 stars.

Video Game Systems

Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 system five star quality system according to our review. It has many pros and cons.
While the system is very fun to play and has great graphics, it is the most risky system in terms of reliability. If you leave the system on overnight it has a great risk to burning out. Many people have gotten "The Red Rings of Death". If you turn the system while it is running, it will scratch the game inside. It has more glitches than the original Xbox, and was very badly manufactured.
While the system was manufactured badly, if the system you have runs normal, then it's very fun to play. It has great graphics, especially on an HDTV. The games are all very good with graphics and game play. It has the best online play of all the systems. The 360 is also a media player. Hooking up a zune and listening to music or watching a movie is very fun and enjoyable. You can also download or store movies onto the system. The 360 game play and media over powers the cons and gives the 360 a five star review out of five stars.

Nintendo Wii

Whether you like the Nintedo Wii or not depends on what kind of video gamer you are. If you like the shooting games or sports games with amazing game play and graphics, the Wii is not for you. If you are a simple video gamer and think the Wii's cool controls and abilities sound cool, the Wii is for you. Being an owner of both a Nintendo Wii and a Xbox 360, I tend to rarely have time to play my Wii with all of the good games the 360 has, and all of the not so great games the Wii has. The Wii lacks all of the great games that the 360 has, but makes up for it with all of the original Nintendo hits such as Mario.
The Wii has a very unique way of controlling what you do in the game. It uses a sensor that picks up the motions you are doing with the controller and puts it into the game. For example if you are playing a baseball game, to swing the bat you have to swing the Wii remote like a bat..Pretty cool stuff.
Although the Wii lacks graphics and quality games, it makes up for it with the neat motion activities. The Wii gets a 3 1/2 stars for me.

PSP

The PSP, made by Sony, is a very good portable gaming device. The PSP has many Pros and Cons.

Pros

• The PSP has graphics that are just as good as the graphics that you see on the ps2 (very good for a portable system).
• The PSP has an easy to use Internet browser built in.
• The PSP is a pretty capable music player.
• The PSP has pretty much the same game selection as the PS3

Cons

• Although the games and graphics are good on the PSP, the loading time can get very annoying.
• The PSP is a portable system, but heavier then most hand held systems you can buy.

• Although the PSP is a capable music player, it is definitely no Ipod.

The PSP is one of the best portable gameing system out there, I give it 4.8/5 stars.
